The Village of Mu’Zhen: Homecoming

When someone challenges you to create something relating to Dungeons and Dragons with the asymmetrical gameplay of Dead by Daylight, you take it. Mu’Zhen is the result of that challenge. A 30-page one-shot, targeted at a party of level 1 characters, tasks them with discovering why their home village is acting so strangely and what could cause such a change. It features many tabletop staples: dialogue, combat, exploration, loot, gods, and a horrific game created by a sadistic monster to harvest the souls and emotions of its victims. Will they live long enough to uncover the truth?
